Born in the streets of London and raised in the deserts of Dubai, Jairaj Ravrani began his musical journey,as Jai Nova, at the age 15 debuting in local clubs with his first headlining appearance alongside Dubai’sbiggest radio hosts Kris Fade (Virgin Radio) and Saif and Sound (Channel 4). With his impressive presence,it was only a matter of time before he was spinning records on radio.

Having featured on multiple radio stations worldwide, while being noticed by dance music icons Avicii,Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix and Alesso, the young pioneer was offered to launched his very own radioshow, Novadose Radio, which is now broadcasted worldwide on stations in USA, Mexico, Canada,Germany, Australia, Africa, Japan, Brazil, Croatia and many more.

Early 2015 kicked offwith debut singles called ‘Lets Go’ and ‘Horizons’ gaining early support from EDMartists Blasterjaxx, Nicky Romero and Dyro and airplay on BBC Radio Introducing. Meanwhile ‘Horizons’went viral within 24 hours hitting over 175,000 streams on Soundcloud alone. Further in to the year, Jaifound himself signing an official remix for #1 hit artist Natalie La Rose and Caroline D’amore on RepublicRecords/Universal Music, catching the attention of the 2015 #1 DJ’s Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, andMixmag’s HYPE Magazine in Dubai.

In the following years, Jai Nova returned to the late Radio 1 Dubai to host his own segment ‘Jai Nova &Friends’ bringing special guests The Chainsmokers, Nervo, Yves V, EDX, Arno Cost and Max Vangeli. Withlive listeners over half a million, Jai Nova and friends delivered a historic performance known to be thebiggest radio line up in Dubai history. This shortly lead to an exclusive remix working alongside recordbreakers The Chainsmokers on their single “Setting Fires” as part of their Collage EP. Meanwhile, Jai’s radioshow ‘Novadose Radio’ also reached big milestones and gained over 16 worldwide radio partners airing the show on a weekly basis.

Finishing his degree in the UK by the age of 19, Universal Music Dubai announced the signing of Jai Novain early 2018. Jai kicked offthe year with string of singles (Heart Is A Liar, Ride and Elysium) and remixpackages which ultimately concluded with his “Homecoming EP”.The releases gained a wide range of support across platforms taking the #1 spot on Apple Music’s A-ListDance (now known as ‘Dance XL) while being featured on iTunes with a homepage slider and the #1 spoton Anghami’s Pop Dance playlists. Further playlist support included ‘Future Hits’,’Best of theWeek’,’Today’s Hits’ on Apple Music and ‘Dance Rising’, ‘Friday Cratediggers’ and numerous New MusicFriday playlists on Spotify.The press also took part with radio interviews, newspapers articles and online publications from Red Bull,Gulf News, We Rave You and a front cover on City Times Magazine in Dubai to name a few. A music videofor ‘Elysium’, shot in Dubai, was released on VEVO later in the year and eventually made its way on to MTVworldwide. Jai Nova’s closed 2018 with over 725,000 streams on Spotify alone.

2019 saw big changes for Jai Nova as he took the big leap of becoming an independent artist. Partneringwith Kobalt Music Group and their platform AWAL, Jai released 3 singles (Close Enough, Higher and 2AM)over the course of 6 months. Jai continued to see growing support from major radio stations such as KissFM (UK), Sirius XM (US), Slam FM (NL) including industry heavyweights Don Diablo and Sigala amongstothers. Not to forget the variety of editorial support from streaming platforms which include playlists suchas Dance XL, New Music Daily, and Summer Vibes, and New Music Friday across Apple Music and Spotify.During the summer of 2019, Jai was also invited to host a ‘Today At Apple’ masterclass in Dubai at the‘Apple Store Dubai Mall’ (known to be the largest mall in the world). The year closed with Jai gaining over amillion streams as an independent artist.

With a noteworthy list of honours, this extraordinary young talent continues to live the dream.
