Born in the streets of London and raised in the deserts of Dubai, Jairaj Ravrani began his musical journey, as Jai Nova, at the age 15 debuting in local clubs with his first headlining appearance alongside Dubai’s biggest radio hosts Kris Fade (Virgin Radio) and Saif and Sound (Channel 4). With his impressive presence, it was only a matter of time before he was spinning records on radio.
Having featured on multiple radio stations worldwide, while being noticed by dance music icons Avicii, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix and Alesso, the young pioneer was offered to launched his very own radio show, Novadose Radio, which is now broadcasted worldwide on stations in USA, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Australia, Africa, Japan, Brazil, Croatia and many more.
Early 2015 kicked off with 2 new singles called ‘Lets Go’ and ‘Horizons’ gaining early support from EDM artists Blasterjaxx, Nicky Romero and Dyro and airplay on BBC Radio. Meanwhile ‘Horizons’ went viral within 24 hours hitting over 175,000 streams on Soundcloud alone. Further in to the year, Jai found himself signing an official remix for #1 hit artist Natalie La Rose and Caroline D’amore on Republic Records/Universal Music, catching the attention of the 2015 #1 DJ’s Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, and Mixmag’s HYPE Magazine in Dubai.
In the following years, Jai Nova returned to the late Radio 1 Dubai to host his own segment ‘Jai Nova & Friends’ bringing special guests The Chainsmokers, Nervo, Yves V, EDX, Arno Cost and Max Vangeli. With live listeners over half a million, Jai Nova and friends delivered a historic performance known to be the biggest radio line up in Dubai history. This shortly lead to an exclusive remix working alongside Pop/Dance record breakers The Chainsmokers on their single “Setting Fires” as part of their Collage EP. Meanwhile, Jai’s radio show ‘Novadose Radio’ also reached big milestones and gained over 16 worldwide radio partners airing the show on a weekly basis.
